1999 celebrates half a century of non-stop production of the famous George Cox creeper. This classic design first outraged the shoe industry in 1949 and has been a perpetual favourite ever since. The Sex Pistols, Bananrama, and Billy Idol are just some of the people who have been 'creepered' by George Cox over the years.
To mark the occasion, George Cox have introduced a limited edition Golden Anniversary creeper. Made from finest quality gold leather and crepe, each pair is individually numbered and presented with a signed certificate of authentication, a gold-stamped box and a shoe bag. They have all been snapped up by Cox's Japanese distributors, amongst whom George Cox held a lottery to allocate the shoes fairly. But be warned - only 1,000 pairs of this unique shoe are being produced, so not everyone will be able to share in this special event!
